Femtech Fes! Extra Edition: "Femtech from a University Student's Perspective ~Periods and Life Plans~"
"Femtech Fes!" has been highly acclaimed as a place where taboos about women's wellness turn into excitement.
In 2020, we planned to visit 21 cities in 18 prefectures across the country to reach more people, but due to recent circumstances, we have decided to hold it online for the time being.

This time, as a special edition, a group of three university students called "Mamedenki" shared their real-life concerns and values they cherish, while discussing menstruation and life plans.

In the first half, we discussed university students' perspectives on menstruation.
When did you learn about menstruation?
What is menstruation to you?
Why do we hide during menstruation?
What menstrual products do you use?
What products would you like to try?
We discussed and delved into these questions about menstruation, and talked about what options there are to live more comfortably in the future. While there's often a fixed idea that menstrual products mean pads, I hope this event was an opportunity for participants to realize that "until now, I just hadn't noticed my dissatisfaction or concerns."

In the latter half, we each listed what we value most in our life plans and considered what options exist to achieve it. While the discussion centered on the concerns and questions of the three members of Mamedenki, we received many sympathetic comments.

We believe it's important to explore various possibilities now, anticipating the different issues we might face in the future. At the same time, instead of imposing a single set of values, it's also necessary for each individual to be able to make choices that suit them. This event incorporated these thoughts of ours. We hope these thoughts reached as many people as possible.
This was Mamedenki's first online event. While there were still many areas for improvement, everyone's warm comments and feedback were very encouraging. We will continue to value the unique perspectives of university students and disseminate various information, so please continue to support us.
