Regarding interviews and photography within the venue

Oct 19, 2021

This event will be attended by many corporate representatives and media, as well as general visitors. To ensure that everyone can enjoy the event with peace of mind, fermata has prepared several privacy measures. Please review them before your visit.

As shown in the floor map below, the exhibition hall and the conference rooms (talk events & workshops) are separate.

① [Exhibition / Talk Event] Wristband Color-Coding

At the reception desk, you will receive a wristband to wear inside the venue. At that time, please choose berry (purple) if you allow interviews and photos by the media, and light blue (blue) if you do not.

  • If you wish to change your wristband color after entering the venue, please feel free to come to the reception desk.
  • Please note that even if you wear a blue wristband, there is a possibility that you may appear in photos from behind or in the background.

② [Workshop] Designated "Interview OK" Tables

In the following workshops, there will be opportunities to share more delicate personal experiences and thoughts. Therefore, we will set up "Interview OK" tables where only those who have given permission for interviews may sit. We will ask about this when you enter the conference room. Please rest assured that even if you chose purple in ①, you can still choose "NG" during the workshop.

  • October 23 (Sat) 13:30-14:15 Vulva Laughter
  • October 23 (Sat) 17:15-18:00 Delicate Zone Frustration Session
  • October 24 (Sun) 17:15-18:00 Anything Frustration Session

③ Ema (Prayer Tablet) Corner, Created Together

In the "fermata FUN Space" on the floor map, there will be a message corner created together with visitors. This project invites you to write "What is femtech to you?" and display it in an open space.

Please note that the content may be published in the media, seen by other visitors, or displayed in fermata stores in the future. Therefore, please do not write any personal information or anything you do not wish to be seen by others.

④ Photography in the Venue by Visitors

This event is a unique opportunity to see over 150 femtech products from around the world. Therefore, fermata does not prohibit visitors from taking photos or videos. However, when doing so, please check the wristband colors of those around you and be considerate so that those who "do not want to be photographed" do not feel uneasy. Our staff also wear wristbands, so we would appreciate your consideration for their privacy as well.

⑤ If you have any concerns, please speak to fermata staff.

fermata staff will be wearing these T-shirts. If you feel uncomfortable, anxious, or have any concerns in the venue, please do not hesitate to consult us at any time.

☆Finally, a request from the fermata team

On Sunday, October 24th, fermata intern Tomoko Hatano will be interviewing visitors in the venue. Of course, she will adhere to the wristband rules and act respectfully, but we would be grateful for your support if you see her.

[Profile] Intern Tomoko Hatano (1st year, Faculty of Education, Hokkaido University)

Currently studying sex education. After learning about femtech, she reaffirmed the importance of sex education and started an internship at fermata to explore the relationship between sex education and femtech.

[Purpose]

By asking visitors about the sex education they received and how they update their knowledge as adults, we aim to consider the "past" and "future" of sex education. The interviewed content will be compiled into a report and published online (medium TBD), with sufficient care taken to ensure that individuals are not identified.

[Topics to be asked]

① During your student days, was there anything about sex education that you "wished you had been taught" but weren't?

② As an adult, how do you update your knowledge about sex?

That concludes the message. We will do our best to ensure everyone can enjoy the event with peace of mind! Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
