Illustrator, born and raised in Tokyo. “I repeatedly take walks to collect ideal situations and spaces, and then bring them back to draw illustrations.”
■ Main Visual Illustration Theme
At fermata, our motto is "until your taboos turn into excitement," and we help each and every one of us overcome our preconceived notions. For this Femtech Fes! as well, we hoped to create a place where the best "products" and passionate "people" in Asia intersect through femtech, so we chose "Femtech Crossroads that Transforms Your Taboos into Excitement" as our keyword. In addition, we chose "Laboratory of Self-Understanding where the Chemical Reaction of Things and People Occurs" as a sub-keyword.
Through the illustration, we also wanted to express the exhilaration of being in a place where taboos turn into excitement, and the strength of women (or trans men/non-binary people) who are pioneering a new era through their encounter with femtech.
If you look closely, you'll see menstrual cups and other items hidden throughout the illustration. We hope you'll look for several other hidden items, and that the illustration will spark conversations.

"I drew this illustration with the hope that it would be a space where people can learn more about what they can do to live comfortably with their own bodies, which they probably understand best themselves!"

"At fermata, we value the process of confronting oneself and examining the still unarticulated anxieties related to mind and body, triggered by encounters with items and communities. Millitsuka's illustrations, while having a fantastical element, skillfully express the fluctuations of real life, and I felt they could effectively portray individuals grappling with anxieties while trying to resolve them. Furthermore, millitsuka's unique use of color and powerful line work seemed perfect for expressing the seeds of excitement that fermata wants to create, without being bound by conventional notions of 'femininity.'
In the final visual, millitsuka faithfully reproduced the themes and messages that fermata wanted to express through her unique worldview. I would like to take this opportunity to thank her."
