Selected for "J-Startup," a public-private startup support program!
On April 6, 2023, we were selected by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry for their startup support program "J-Startup"!
"J-Startup" is a program where the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), and New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) serve as the secretariat. It selects promising companies based on recommendations from external experts, including experienced venture capitalists and new business managers from large corporations. Selected companies then receive concentrated support from government agencies and private "J-Startup Supporters."
Now that fermata has been selected, we will be able to more easily leverage government measures, such as overseas expansion support, and growth support from private supporters, to expand our business globally.
We received the following comment from a recommender:
"CEO Sugimoto holds a Dr/PhD in Public Health and is one of the leading figures in medical startups. She is also a pioneer in Japan's femtech industry. When you think of femtech companies in Asia, fermata comes to mind. While there are many femtech products worldwide, there are often no established standards for handling them. In this context, fermata is also involved in establishing those rules. I expect this company to play a role in empowering women in Japan."

The fact that our company, which addresses women's health issues that are often still considered taboo, has received such recognition is proof that the importance of this field is gaining awareness across industry, government, and academia.
Furthermore, we recognize that fermata is seen as a leader in this market in Asia and Japan thanks to the support of our consumers and business partners who have walked alongside us. We will remain humble and redouble our efforts.
