Hogara was created by female employees working at a textile company.
Hogara was born from a remark by a female sales representative who said, "Why don't we create what we women want right now ourselves?" This sparked a gathering of women from various fields, leading to the creation of Hogara. The brand name "Hogara" was chosen with the hope that it would bring "bright, shining, and clear" comfortable days to everyone.
10 JPY from each purchase will be donated to an international NGO.
For every absorbent panty sold by "Hogara," 10 JPY is donated to the girls' project of the international NGO Plan International, "Because I am a Girl."
This month, October 11th, is International Day of the Girl Child. It is a day designated by the UN to widely call upon the international community to promote "girls' rights" and "girls' empowerment." We hope that by learning about Hogara's activities and the existence of International Day of the Girl Child, you will be inspired to support girls around the world.
- What is "Because I am a Girl"? It is a global campaign developed by the international NGO Plan (headquarters: UK). It aims to address the problems of girls in developing countries who face double discrimination due to being both female and children, and to empower them with "the power to live" to reduce poverty in developing countries.
