【Highlights】
① 150 femtech products from around the world will gather! 80% of them are from overseas, and many items will be introduced in Japan for the first time.
② Talk shows and workshops by experts will be held from various perspectives, such as menstruation and menopause.
③ Free admission! & Gift bags will be given to a total of 300 people.
【Regarding the Event】
This event, which started in 2019 with the aim of "introducing femtech to Japan!" and has been held mainly online since then, is now celebrating fermata's second anniversary with its second in-person event. Leveraging our relationships with startups from various countries, we will welcome you with 150 products and services, the largest scale ever.
The theme for this year's "Femtech Fes! 2021" at fermata is "Femtech Intersection: Transforming Your Taboos into Excitement." This theme embodies our wish for the event to be a place where products imbued with the creators' passion intersect with individuals grappling with unspoken concerns, fostering unexpected discoveries and encounters, much like a bustling intersection.
The term "femtech" itself began to be used around 2013 among Western startups and investors. However, in recent years in Japan, it has increasingly been used in ways that deviate from its original intent. At fermata, we aim for the numerous products and services currently categorized as "femtech" to not merely be a fleeting trend that disappears, but rather to become so commonplace that the concept and term "femtech" itself become unnecessary. By continuing to drive the creation of the femtech market, we aim to improve women's quality of life and, ultimately, create a society where everyone can live more comfortably.
We hope this event will be an opportunity for you to question the preconceptions about your body that society and you yourself have imposed, and to resolve any mental and physical discomfort you may be experiencing. Please look forward to "Femtech Fes! 2021."
