With this desire, a group of female employees came together to develop the product that became Wakamoto Pharmaceutical's first femtech brand, founded 97 years ago.

Wakamoto Pharmaceutical began in 1929 as a self-medication company with the launch of "Wakamoto."
The company's founding also involved the strength of women, and from the beginning, Wakamoto Pharmaceutical believed in supporting women's advancement in society.
In modern society, where the balance of intestinal flora is easily disrupted by stress and aging, we realized the need to supplement with lactic acid bacteria to improve this imbalance. The same principle applies to women's delicate areas, and it became clear that lactic acid bacteria are key to regulating women's internal flora.
Women's delicate concerns are often difficult to discuss with others, and many women endure them.
This was a concern shared by many female employees at Wakamoto Pharmaceutical.
To free them from these concerns and help them live each day brightly and cheerfully! With this sentiment, female employees gathered to develop Wakamoto Pharmaceutical's "first" femtech brand.
