Femtech Fes! Vol. 26 "My First Menopause, Part 1: Unraveling the History of Menopause"

Apr 20, 2022

Femtech Fes!, which has been a great success as a place where taboos about wellness turn into excitement, will hold an online event in two parts on the theme of "menopause" 🍃
Part 1, which you can participate in from this page, will unravel the history and present of menopause, discussing "why menopause has been considered taboo" and "current solutions for menopause."

Part 2, scheduled to be held in late May, will delve into the mechanisms of menopause from a medical perspective with experts.

The 26th Femtech Fes! ONLINE will be on the theme of "My First Menopause Part 1: Unraveling the History of Menopause"!

What are your impressions of the word "menopause"?
And how were these images formed? While discussions about menstruation have become more frequent over the years, menopause still remains a mystery to many, with many people unsure how to deal with it.

This time, we will invite social historian Hikaru Tanaka to discuss topics such as:

  • How the concept of "menopause" has been perceived in society
  • Current domestic and international systems and femtech examples related to menopause
  • What services are desired in the future to make menopause easier to navigate

We hope that by understanding the background of why menopause has been considered taboo, this event will be an opportunity to change your perception of menopause, even if just a little!
We look forward to your participation ✨
