Dr. Amina's Guide | A Practical Guide to Understanding Your Body
This guide will help you effortlessly understand women's health within your daily life, covering body mechanisms, systems, and various choices.
Why am I writing this series?
For a long time, we may have perceived changes in women's bodies as some kind of vague "indisposition," and kept them unexpressed.
This includes menstrual fluctuations, menopausal changes, urinary incontinence, and discomfort in the intimate zone.
This is not because Japan is "behind."
Japan maintains high standards globally in pregnancy, childbirth, and cancer screenings, with extremely low maternal mortality rates and relatively accessible gynecological and obstetric care. Cervical and breast cancer screenings are also available with government subsidies.
Indeed, many aspects are well-protected.
Nevertheless, small, everyday bodily changes tend to be kept to oneself.
From a public health perspective, I want to consider "what leads to peace of mind," rather than "what is trendy."
More important than simply having more options is understanding how the body works, comprehending systems and safety, and calmly being able to choose the method that suits you.
The role of Dr. Amina's Guide is to organize information and provide clear translations for this purpose.
