Initiatives related to privacy and psychological safety

Please read before attending

"Femtech Fes! 2022" is an exciting event, but it also touches on delicate themes and keywords related to health and mind-body well-being. To ensure everyone can enjoy the event comfortably while respecting each other's values, some considerations are necessary.

Following last year's event, fermata has implemented several initiatives regarding privacy and psychological safety to ensure all attendees can enjoy the event with peace of mind. Please check them before you attend.
While we have made every effort, we understand that our initiatives may not be perfect. Therefore, please do not hesitate to inform fermata staff if you find any shortcomings. Even if the staff you speak to cannot resolve the issue directly, they will always connect you with a staff member who can make a decision.

① How to indicate your consent for photography and interviews

At the reception, all visitors will be asked to choose a mask sticker.

If you are okay with media interviews and being in photos, please choose red or yellow.

If you are not okay, please choose blue.

  • Mirrors are available in the cloakroom near the reception for your convenience.
  • If you wish to change your color after entering the venue, please do not hesitate to come to the fermata counter (Lounge 49). Please note that even if you are wearing a blue mask sticker, there is still a possibility of being captured from behind or in a wide shot. We appreciate your understanding.
  • If you have a reason not to wear a mask sticker, please affix it to a conspicuous position on your upper body.

What fermata paid attention to

  • Last year, we used "wristbands" for color-coding, but we received feedback that it was difficult to see wristbands due to many attendees wearing long sleeves because of the season. Therefore, this time we are using mask stickers.
  • The reason for having multiple "OK" colors (red and yellow) was to alleviate some of the psychological burden on those who choose "NG." The reason for choosing blue as "NG" is that it is a color that is easily identifiable by more people. However, if you feel uncomfortable with it when you actually see it at the venue on the day, please feel free to consult with fermata staff at any time.

② Photography within the venue by attendees

As this is a unique opportunity with over 200 femtech products from around the world, photography and video recording by attendees are not prohibited (except for certain items with "no photography" signs).
However, we kindly ask that you check the mask stickers of those around you and be considerate so that those who "do not wish to be photographed" do not feel uneasy. Please also be mindful of staff privacy, as they will also be wearing mask stickers.

③ About Alert POPs

For exhibits where fermata believes a moment of reflection is needed before viewing, such as specific topics, we have placed POPs like the one below. If you have any requests, such as "I wish this exhibit also had one," please do not hesitate to inform us.

④ fermata counter & direct LINE to staff

At the back of the venue "Lounge 49", there is a fermata staff counter. Please visit us if you have any problems, such as feeling unwell, losing your belongings, or getting separated from your family or friends.
Additionally, if you are unable to reach the counter, we also offer consultations via chat. Please contact us via LINE using the QR code below. *If you have any concerns, we recommend adding us as a LINE friend in advance.

That's all. We will do our best to ensure everyone can enjoy the event with peace of mind! Please come carefully. We look forward to seeing your smiling faces at the venue!
